Hello Bloody Mary aficionados! I am super stoked to share a new Bloody Mary mix recipe with you today, using Walker Feed Co.’s Southern Bloody Mary mix. Walker Feed Co. is from Nashville, TN, and you can tell throughout every sip! Southern flavors truly pop out in this delectable mix. Favorite part of this mix? It’s made with barrel-aged Worcestershire sauce, straight from Kentucky bourbon barrels. This mix is spicy and uses other Southern-style ingredients to create a deep flavor profile-- namely creole mustard and blackstrap molasses.
What better way to tribute the South than with a BOURBON BLOODY MARY recipe! The bourbon adds a true Southern finish to this Music City mix. Now, most of you likely use vodka or gin in your Bloodies, but I am a big fan of complementing certain recipe styles with different types of liquor. The South is the place of bourbon-- so why not pair it with a Southern-style mix?! Try this awesome recipe below— your hearts will be happy and your belly will be full!
Ingredients
Bloody Mary (makes one 16 oz. Bloody Mary)
1.5 oz Kentucky bourbon
4 oz Walker Feed Co. Southern Bloody Mary mix
Ice
Garnish
Hot chicken wing (or some Nashville hot chicken!)
Shrimp
Pickled green beans
Pepperoncini
Cherry tomatoes
Lemon wedge
Directions
Crafting the Bloody Mary
Fill pint glass with ice.
Pour 1.5 oz bourbon over ice.
Pour Walker Feed Co. Southern Bloody Mary mix into glass.
“Roll” the contents of the glass to fully mix. Rolling means to transfer the liquid and ice mixture from glass to glass-- you will want to use another pint glass for this. You can also stir the contents.
Garnish with a chicken wing (or Nashville hot chicken), a shrimp, pickled green beans, pepperoncini, cherry tomatoes, a lemon wedge, and any other Southern ingredients you can find.
Serve and enjoy!
