I am honored to tell you all that Bloody Mary Tour has been selected to be a judge at Denver’s first-ever Bloody Mary Festival hosted by the Bloody Mary Liberation Party (BMLP). Simply put, I am ecstatic. This is an exciting event where Bloody connoisseurs and local foodies alike can convene together to try the Best. Darn. Bloodies. in the Denver metro area.
The first legendary Bloody Mary Festival was held in Brooklyn, NY in April 2014. The BMLP has since expanded its events to San Francisco, Philly, Washington D.C., NYC, and now Denver. I have been following the BMLP since I started this website back in January 2015 and have been waiting patiently for a Bloody Mary Festival in the Mile High City. I am so happy to say that my wishes (and I’m sure many other people’s) finally came true!
The Denver Bloody Mary Festival premiers on Sunday, October 23rd, 2016, at the EXDO Event Center in the River North Art District (RiNO). From 1 PM-4 PM, you can enjoy Bloody Marys from ten different Denver-based restaurants and companies. There will also be food trucks, music, local food and drink samples, and of course a Bloody Mary competition taboot! My friends at the Bloody Mary Liberation Party have released 8/10 participants so far and I have reviews written on (almost) all of the contestants, which I will link to later. The contestants include:
- Ace Eat Serve
- Bacon Social House
- Denver Biscuit Company
- Fooducopia
- Highland Tavern
- Sassafras American Eatery, Jefferson Park
- Stoic & Genuine S&G Fish
- The Real Dill
There are 50 early bird tickets available for $40 and you can purchase a “Bloody Baller” VIP ticket for $75 (this includes early entry, lunch, and a commemorative tote bag). You can find out more information about the event on the Festival’s Event Page and tickets can be purchased here.
